Payroll Overtime

Problem

how to handle overtime hours in the payroll report created from MacNail Construction Payroll Software
computing time-and-a-half hours for employee labor

Diagnosis

overtime is figured automatically at time-and-a-half for all hours over 40 per week.
If the actual overtime hours are different, type the correct # of overtime hours into the overtime column

Solution

• for extra hours paid as straight time-- put a 0 into the overtime column (or subtract the straight time hours if only some are straight time).
•  for double time--double the overtime column (or add the double time hours if only some are double time)
