Missing Year to Date on Paychecks

Problem

not getting year to date (YTD) totals when printing payroll checks/ paychecks from MacNail Construction Payroll Software

Diagnosis

1. Do they have an older manager (<2/12/93)? If so, it's a bug.
2. Is it opening payroll files while running the check printing?
3. Do payroll files have totals at bottom?

Solution

1. old bug (fixed 2/12/93) was not looking for 'Payroll File 93' format. send latest manager.
2. check to make sure file names match the names in the Payroll Report.
3. If no totals, they must run Update Payroll files first to get ytd totals? If there are totals, check 1 and 2 above.

if they say they already installed a fix disk and are still having problems, check the date on the mgr (NOT mod date in Get Info!) and make sure they did install it properly.
