New Job Cost Accounting Blank

PROBLEM

How to make a new 1 or 2 layer cc blank from a new custom estimator in MacNail construction job costing software

Diagnosis

this is so they can do bids in their new category format, even if they don't have an estimate for the project.

Solution

1. Choose Open from the File menu, switch to the Estimating/Estimating Blanks folder, and open the custom estimator.
2. In CC manager, choose New Job Cost Sheet, using 'Active File'
3. Set it up as bid/spec or cost plus, and 1 or 2 layers, depending on what is wanted.
4. When it's done, choose Save As from the File menu, switch to the Accounting Blanks folder, and save it as "XXXX 1 layer cc blank" or "XXXX 2 layer cc blank", depending on whether 1 or 2 layer. XXXX can be any name.

To use the new blank, choose New Job Cost Sheet, and make it 'from scratch'.
FOR DOS: Name must be XXX1LYCC.BLK or XXX2LYCC.BLK, where XXX can be any 3 characters (or fewer)
This technique can also be used to be able to make cost-plus or spec bids 'from scratch' in MacNail construction accounting software
