Erases Last Year's Profit & Loss File

PROBLEM

erases last year's P&L 'by month' file in MacNail construction accounting software
gets zero in old profit & loss file, loses P&L postings,

Diagnosis

a nasty bug introduced in the bug fix done last 1/18/95.

Solution

To fix damaged file-- if they have a backup, replace with that.
If not, will need to trash the 95 monthly p&l, clear the p&l file for all 95 costs, and repost.
If they want the 'by job' file to be accurate too they'll have to trash ALL P&L files, clear P&L column on ALL source files, and repost all.
to prevent-- In the Cost Control manager, goto move.profit, go down 4 rows ( =safe.open...) and erase it. Go down 1 more row (=halt...) erase it.

If user is angry, apologize and suggest they start a backup system so if a file does get damaged by anything, they won't lose much. Files do get damaged, and not just by bugs.
If they need to vent or yell, send them to Dennis, he's the one that screwed up on this.
