Using Array Formulas

PROBLEM

formula problem. How to get braces {} around array formulas in MacNail Job Costing Software and MacNail construction accounting software.

Diagnosis

Get #VALUE! in a cell that has an array formula (with braces) in or sheet.
Shows braces, but braces also show in the cell rather than a number (because user typed them in from keyboard).

Solution

1. Click anywhere in formula in the formula bar
2. Remove braces if necessary with delete key
3. Macintosh--Hold down command (cloverleaf) key
3A. Windows-Hold down the Control-Shift keys
4. Type the Enter key or click on the checkmark next to the formula.
5. Formula in formula bar should now have braces {} around it. If not, try again! Make sure formula starts with an = (equal sign).

If they typed in braces, will need to remove them! They are text and will cause error if not deleted.
