Framing Materials Too Low

Problem

metal or wood stud wall framing materials =0 zero
in specifications portion of MacNail construction estimating software or bidmagic

Diagnosis

1. check ceiling heights in Dimensions -- actually the average ceiling height is the important one (ceiling column, 'total' row in Basic Dimensions).
2. check stud spacing

Solution

1. ceiling height must be >0! It doesn't take any lumber to build a wall zero feet tall!
2. stud spacing should be >0! Type .5 for 24" spacing, .75 for 16" spacing, 1 for 12" spacing
3. BIDMAGIC ONLY-- floor area must be >0 (see TA 581)
