How to do townhouse estimates with MacNail construction estimating software

Diagnosis

Can be handled easily if you don't mind getting a single price for the entire block, rather than one price for each unit.

Solution

• Type the length of party walls into dimensions. That's the only difference between a block of townhouses and a regular house
•  The database doesn't contain items for party walls, but they can be easily added: For most common party walls (e.g. concrete block), a unit price can be copied from another line. Use the formula "=partyPartit" as the suggested dimension for these items
