Estimating Fudge Factors

Problem

1. fudge factor not showing up in clearinghouse
2. fudge factor not showing up in specification line items for MacNail construction estimating software

Diagnosis

User applied a fudge factor and doesn't see it where they expect

Solution

1. overall fudge is applied in Summation, so it won't show up in clearinghouse. Use labor, material and subcontractor fudge factors instead.
2. Labor, material and subcontractor fudge factors don't affect the individual line items-- they are applied to the subtotal rows instead. If they want to adjust individual line item costs, they'll need to change wage rates or unit prices.
