may get this if they've made unusual modifications to formulas in an estimate or Price Master.
John Gilbert seemed to have gotten it by putting a formula into labor unit price, rather than a #

Solution

find the offending row in the source file, and tidy it up.
to track down the problem, may need to flag and move some items, and narrow it down to the bad row. Or they can send us a floppy disk with the source file on it...
