Excel 8 Macro Warning

PRoblem

XL8 problem when opening files for MacNail construction software
can't see MacNail menu
weird message about viruses and macros

Diagnosis

apparently XL8, when it first opens the managers, gives an alert along the lines of: "This workbook contains macros, which may contain viruses. If you are sure this workbook came from a trusted source, click Enable macros". If users don't click Enable, then nothing works.

Solution

click Enable.
