Weird Number Formats

PRoblem

Numbers in cells appear strangely formatted: e.g. typing in "122" will show up as 1.22.

Diagnosis

If it just happens in certain cells, it is probably a number format problem. Choose Format\Number and change the format to something reasonable.
if it happens everywhere, check in Options\Workspace.... there is a checkbox for "Fixed Decimal Places". If it is checked, that's the problem. Unchecking it will restore the number formatting.

This is an XL "feature" which can really cause confusion for users of MacNail construction software!
