Marching Ants

Can't get rid of "marquee", marching ants selection rectangle in worksheet after a copy

Diagnosis

Not a problem, they can march all day without affecting anything. It stops the next type they type something.

Solution

If they really want to get rid of it: type command-period, or escape key on keyboard.

Warning: just hitting the "Enter" button may paste the contents of the clipboard into the worksheet! Must follow instructions above exactly.

This is a general Excel thing totally unrelated to MacNail construction software, but of course users think we did it.
