PRoblem MacNail (or any) files are getting corrupted,
changes not being saved, or file 'disappears' from MacNail
construction estimating software or construction accounting
software Diagnosis DOS 6 makes some things faster by NOT writing saves to disk right away. When you exit windows, it saves in the background AFTER the C:> prompt appears! If they shut off as soon as they get the C:> as is standard procedure for most people, they can lose their day's work or corrupt files (if it cuts off in the middle of the save). Solution 1. Bug Microsoft for a copy of DOS 6.2 (which fixes this and other problems) Comments Entered 10/19/93 by Dennis. |
