Locked Cells

PRoblem

"macro error: locked cells cannot be changed!" when attempting to execute a MacNail command, any command in MacNail construction management software

Diagnosis

Most likely: MacNail construction software will not function if the Manager is protected.

Solution

1. Use the "Window" menu to bring the manager to the front.
2. Pull down the Options menu. If it says "Unprotect Document...", the manager is protected. Choose the command, and the next time you pull down the Options menu, it will say "protect document". The manager is now unprotected.
Everything should work ok. If the manager was not originally protected, something else is the problem.

NOTE: Managers since 1/92 automatically check for protection when they first open, and remove it. This error will only occur if users protect the Manager after it's open.
NOTE: Manager must not be HIDDEN either. Users can do that, and our code doesn't currently check to see if it's hidden.
