Installing MacNail with Windows 3.1

PRoblem

DOS installation, making icon, and entering path name in command line field with Windows 3.1 while installing MacNail construction management software

Diagnosis

To get DOS icons to work, both the path name to the Excel application and the path name to the MacNail program must be correct. If icon opens Excel ok, but can't find MacNail, then path is wrong.

Solution

Find out exactly where they keep MacNail and whether it's inside another directory (if it is, That should be in path name AFTER C:\ but BEFORE MacNail.)
Windows 3.1 has a BROWSE button in the icon creation dialog, which allows you to browse for a file with which to assocate the icon. Dbl-clicking on the file automatically puts in the path name.
