does MacNail Accounting software handle retainage?

yes, it's in the cost control sheet, at the bottom.

SOLUTION

check the accounting manual index for MacNail Construction Accounting Software.

NOTE-- Goldenseal accounting software is better at retainage. It's integrated in with the project billing (which also is much better).
