PROBLEM
query formulas don't work!

I type in criteria and nothing happens!"
DIAGNOSIS
Are the boxes for 'most recent payout', 'total amount paid' etc blank?
YES-- choose *Query Formulas
from the Formulas menu, and click "OK"
when it asks "Restore all database formulas". Then it should work.
NO-- see below SOLUTION
1. First clear the Criteria and make sure it works then. Click in each criteria cell and hit the
'delete' key on the keyboard. If #'s appear after that, they've fixed the problem (95% of the time this fixes it).
Then try re-entering the criteria-- if it breaks now, something is wrong with their data entry (see TA 518)
2. Make sure it's set to Automatic Calculation in MacNail Construction
Accounting Software
3. If it STILL doesn't work, try doing Options\*Fix Database.
4. Try doing *Query Formulas again
5. If still broken, repeat step 1 making absolutely sure they're really clearing the right cells (have them describe
the exact cells, read off titles etc so there's no confusion). Can also have them select all the blank cells, unprotect
document, choose clear from Edit menu.
6. If all those don't fix it, they should either send us the file or we'll have to check location of defined
names etc-- a very tedious process. Can also have them copy/paste data into a new worksheet of the same type.
