Posting Costs to Ledger

PROBLEM

problems with 'Post to Ledger' command in MacNail accounting software
posting to ledger, check number not appearing in pd? column, or no job number #

DIAGNOSIS

1. why doesn't job # appear in ledger?
2. why doesn't check number go into pd column of Log?

SOLUTION

1. It's not supposed to. Since there could be more than one job in the Log posting to the Ledger, we don't put in a job # since that could be confusing.
2. It won't happen if either the check # is blank in the Ledger (the case here) or if there's already something in the pd column on the Log.
