Incorrect Job Lookups

PROBLEM

the code numbers in the master index don't match / correspond with lookups names.
Wrong 'jobsite' or 'job name', not matching job# code in MacNail construction accounting software

DIAGNOSIS

Happens when they have nonsequential or very high job numbers, or use letter codes for jobs. Usually it puts in office as job.
May also happen if they've previously removed the job in question (Lookup will then get the next higher job)

SOLUTION

Get into job costing manager and choose Put Projects in Order, which will sort the code numbers.
Also make sure the job is really there!
If that still doesn't fix it, check Lookup formulas-- may need to put them back in so the changes are transferred.
