Job Costing Change Orders |
|||||
Problem Job Costs are over by a Change
Order amount. Diagnosis Cost transactions (Material Purchases, Subcontractor Costs, etal.) that are linked
to a Change Order are being job costed separately from the Change Order and therefore doubling the amount
job costed. Solution 1) In Options>Preferences>Data Entry under Required Data Entry, disable "Require
Job Accounts?" (no x in the box). NOTE-- Since the Draw Schedule and Progress-based billing types have pre-set billing independent of actual costs in Goldenseal accounting software, their billing is not affected, but their job costing is. Comments This problem is fixed in newer versions of Goldenseal job costing software. Entered 6/6/01 by Gor. |
