Allowance Expenses

Problem

can't assign a purchase or other expense to an Allowance-- the Allowance doesn't show up in the "applies to" field.

Diagnosis

1. What version do they have? Goldenseal accounting software versions before 2.0 may have bugs here.
2. What's in the Job field?
3. Look at that job (choose Job Account from the View menu).
4. What's in the Estimate field. Look at that estimate. Is the allowance there?

Solution

It fills the list of allowances from the Estimate for the job. Generally this call happens when they don't have an estimate for the given job, or they thought an allowance is in the estimate but it's not.
