Problem

How does Goldenseal handle a Bid with zero amount?

Diagnosis

They put in a bid and leave it at zero, since they don't have a quote yet. Goldenseal Estimating Software picks zero as the lowest bid.

Solution

Starting with Goldenseal 2.45 we skip bids with zero amount when getting the lowest of competing bids.

That means you can start all bids at zero, and fill in amounts as you receive them.

Goldenseal estimating software 2.44 and earlier don't work that way. You'll need to put in a high value to start for each bid, so Goldenseal will compute the low bid amount correctly.
