Problem
Entering a Material
Purchase does not update
the Cost Item being purchased.
Diagnosis
1. Does the purchase have an item breakdown?
2. Is the cost item in question listed? Try double-clicking on a non-editable column in the
breakdown. It will open the Cost Item (This is a good way to find out if there are 2 with similar names).
3. Check the Cost Item record.
4. Check the purchase status.
Solution
1. Updating only happens from an item breakdown.
2. It only updates items that are listed.
3. If the Pricing Method is Manual, purchase prices are not used. If it's XXX Main Supplier,
it ignores purchases from other suppliers. If it's Latest Price, there may be a purchase with a later
price date. If it's Average Price, this purchase may not change the average significantly or is outside
of the date range.
4. Price updating in Goldenseal Accounting
Software doesn't happen from void or job
cost only purchases.
