Category Order in Estimate Breakdowns

Problem

User wants the categories to be listed in chronological order, but they are alphabetical.

Or, they want them to be listed alphabetically but they are in some other order.

Solution

Goldenseal uses the Category System to determine the order in which categories are displayed. If the user clicks the More Info button on the estimate, they can see the Category System, and change it to whatever they want. If no Category System is selected, Goldenseal lists category breakdowns in alphabetical order.

NOTE-- If the Category System doesn't have the order they want, users can change the order of categories or subcategories.

We also have a Preferences item that alphabetizes the category list, no matter what order is in the Category System. To change that, choose Preferences from the Option menu, choose Interface from the submenu, and change the Sort Category Names checkbox.
