Unexpected Quit in Duplicated Assembly |
|||||
Problem Duplicate an assembly, then use it as an item in an estimate. Bad address error. Diagnosis They duplicated an Assembly and then used it. Unexpected quit or bad address error. Solution There was a couple of subtle bugs in Goldenseal 2.3 and earlier that can cause 'unexpected quit' errors when working in an assembly record that was recently duplicated. The workaround is to close the window after duplicating the record, then reopen it. NOTE-- the problem is that the table still has a reference to the previous assembly. Goldenseal keeps it in memory for a while so it usually won't causes a problem, but if something causes a purge of the previous record, there will be a quit when the table tries to access an object that no longer exists. Versions 2.4 and later of Goldenseal estimating software won't have this problem. Comments Entered 5/28/03 by Casey. |
