Unhandled Exception

Problem

Windows version of Goldenseal Accounting Software gives frequent "unhandled exception" messages or freezes.

Diagnosis

This is a sporadic problem that seems to affect a small percentage of computers.

Solution

NOTE-- We have probably fixed most of the "unhandled exception" errors in Goldenseal 2.9 and later. We started compiling with a newer version of CodeWarrior which apparently fixed some bugs that were in the previous versions.

If they didn't just install QuickTime, have them try downloading the new version of that.

Try turning off the Play Sound at Record Save option in Prefs-- Interface.

Get their system info:
1. Which version of Windows?
2. Which version of QT?
3. Any screen savers, virus checkers, other utilities?
4. When does the problem occur? How frequently? Is it reproducable?

ESPECIALLY GET DETAILS FOR VERSIONS 2.9 AND NEWER! Users shouldn't have the original problem so we definitely want details if it's still happening.
