BidMagic and SoftWindows

Problem

will DOS BidMagic Construction Estimating Software work with SoftWindows on a Macintosh?

Diagnosis

It will not work with SoftWindows 1.0, because SW 1.0 only carries the 286 instruction set (so won't do Windows in 386 enhanced mode).

Solution

It should work with SoftWindows 2.0, which emulates the 486 instruction set and can run Windows in 386 enhanced mode.

Of course the direct Mac version of BidMagic Construction Estimating Software will run MUCH faster on a Mac!
