Price Changes for Different Calculations

Problem

Why is there a price change when a category is switched from labor/materials to subs only in BidMagic Construction Estimating Software?

Diagnosis

• check fudge factors--they may be different for L, M & S
• sales tax--may only be applied on materials. Materials used by subcontractors won’t be given sales tax if subcontractor doesn’t get sales tax. User may want to include sales tax on subs to cover that and the subcontractor’s overhead.

Solution

No specific solution, just find the source and user will be OK about the estimating difference.
