BidMagic Null Value Error

Problem

user getting "null value" or "not a number" errors, usually during calculation; sometimes when moving from one card to another in BidMagic Construction Estimating Software

Diagnosis

what work have they done recently?
any blank fields? Especially in new unit prices.

Solution

fill blank fields with zero.

COMMENTS

Appears to be a difference between Win3.1 and later versions re: handling
empty strings. In the Win3.1 version, tbk (like HC) maps an
empty string to 0 in calculations. Apparently in Win95 and later it doesn't, but
generates an error.

Later versions of BidMagic construction estimating software check for blanks after data entry, and fill in a zero.
