Labor and Materials Estimates

Problem

Wants to do some work as labor and materials and some subcontracted, within the same cost category in BidMagic construction estimating software.

Diagnosis

User wants to combine two calculation types in the same estimate.

Solution

1. Set the bid type for the category to 'labor and materials'
2. Enter just the work being done by the general contractor
3. Calculate
4. Go to the bottom line card and check the calculated L & M prices.
5. Go back to the Specs card, set bid type to 'flat fee'
6. Type the calculated labor & material costs into Labor and Materials boxes
7. Type the subcontractor quote for the remaining work into the Subs box.
