Using Estimating Assemblies

Leaving the Assembly Editor

Once you have finished changing an assembly, click OK to return to the Unit Price card. You'll return to the regular BidMagic construction estimating software window.

If you'd like to leave without saving changes to the assembly, click Cancel.

Using an Assembly Price

When you create or change an assembly, the BidMagic BidMagic construction estimating software will automatically use the calculated material unit price for that item.

When the calculated assembly price is used, you'll see a padlock next to the material unit price, in the Unit Price card.

If for some reason you want to enter your own material unit price, instead of using the calculated price, follow these steps:
1. Hold down the Command key, and click on the padlock to 'unlock' it.
2. Enter a new number into the material unit cost field. It will be used instead of the calculated assembly price.

NOTE-- We retired the BidMagic construction estimating software in 2001. It has been replaced by Goldenseal construction estimating software. We still include this BidMagic estimating software manual as a convenience for users of our older program.
