Estimating Overhead and Profit

To enter overhead, profit and contingency percentages, choose Overhead from the Navigate menu.

HINT: You can also click on the Compass button at the upper right, then choose Overhead from the pop-up menu.

The Overhead & Profit card is the place to enter three basic percentages that affect your cost of doing business--overhead, net profit, and contingencies. It also includes an Overhead Calculator to help figure that percentage.

The BidMagic construction estimating software will add overhead and profit percentages to your costs on the Bottom Line card.

NOTE-- We retired the BidMagic construction estimating software in 2001. It has been replaced by Goldenseal construction estimating software. We still include this BidMagic estimating software manual as a convenience for users of our older program.
